Founder , Piano Instructor & Early Childhood Music Specialist

Founded in 2014 by Ms. Kristy, Music Garden Studio is rooted in the belief that every person has musical gifts waiting to grow and that music can meet each individual where they are. A skilled piano performer and educator, Ms. Kristy draws inspiration from the way flowers thrive, understanding that with the right care, encouragement, and environment, each child can flourish.

With over 20  years of experience teaching music to young children, Ms. Kristy brings both depth and sensitivity to her work. Kristy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Piano Education from Seattle Pacific University and a Master of Arts in Children, Youth, and Family from Luther Seminary, equipping her to understand more deeply what today’s children and families truly need. She has also completed advanced training in Dalcroze Eurhythmics with Dr. Julie Black and Musikgarten teacher training with Dr. Lorna Lytz Heyge, a leading pioneer in early childhood music education. Her education and training allow her to thoughtfully blend strong musical foundations with child centered and developmentally informed teaching.

At the heart of Ms. Kristy’s approach is a deep respect for each child’s uniqueness. She is committed to creating a warm, joyful, and supportive environment where children feel safe to explore, express themselves, and grow at their own pace. Through music, she nurtures not only musical skills, but also confidence, creativity, and emotional well being.

We invite you to join us at Music Garden Studio, where musical seeds are planted with care and allowed to blossom in their own time.
