Music Garden Studio is a place where learning music is more than taking lessons. It is a joyful and creative journey that nurtures the mind, body, and spirit. We are honored to walk alongside children and families as they grow through music.

In our warm and welcoming environment, each child is celebrated for who they are. Our thoughtfully designed lessons build strong musical foundations while also supporting emotional and personal growth. We blend solid technique with creativity so music feels meaningful, engaging, and alive. Learning to read music strengthens the brain, sparks imagination, and opens the door to a lifelong relationship with music.

At the heart of our work is the education of the heart. We believe music is more than notes and rhythms. It shapes character, nurtures empathy, and builds emotional resilience. In a world often focused on perfection, we offer a safe space where children are seen, heard, and known, free to explore, make mistakes, and grow with joy. Music becomes a mirror for the heart and a bridge that connects us to ourselves and others.

Founded in 2014 by Ms. Kristy, Music Garden Studio is grounded in both professional training and deep care for children. Kristy is an experienced piano performer and educator with over 20 years of experience in early childhood music education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Piano Education from Seattle Pacific University and a Master of Arts in Children, Youth, and Family from Luther Seminary. Her education equips her with a deep understanding of the musical, emotional, and developmental needs of today’s children and families.

Kristy has completed advanced training in Dalcroze Eurhythmics with Dr. Julie Black and Musikgarten teacher training with Dr. Lorna Lytz Heyge, a leading pioneer in early childhood music education. Her teaching approach weaves together musical excellence, child development, and relational care, creating lessons where students grow not only as musicians but also as confident, expressive, and compassionate individuals.

Exciting news! Our studio has transformed into Music Garden Studio, marking our commitment to spreading the love for music beyond Bellevue. We're now welcoming students aged 5 and up, from beginners to experienced musicians, globally.
Enrollment is now open for Spring, Summer, and Fall! Discover our virtual and hybrid options for private piano and violin lessons, tailored to fit every family's schedule, no matter where you are.
